Collection: Double knit
Double knit, also known as DK or 8-ply - such a standard weight for making cosy sweaters, warm scarves and shawls and kids clothes.
Currently I'm dyeing two lovely double knit bases.
The first is 100% extra fine superwash merino. It's a slightly heavier DK, almost a light worsted; Please note the skeins are a little larger than the more common 100g skeins - 115g/230m
The second is 50% Merino and 50% Silk. It has a gorgeous lustre and is very soft. I find it luxurious to work with and the silk ensures that the colours catch the light beautifully. It comes in 110g/212m skeins.
For both of these yarns, I like to use 3.75 - 4.5 mm needles or crochet hooks, depending on the project.
